Depending on the type of gift you make to Darden, there are a number of potential tax benefits for both calendar year-end tax reporting and other forms of tax. Contact Darden for assistance with gift planning and tax-saving options.
For calendar year-end tax reporting:
- Gifts to Darden are tax deductible. Be sure to take action early to complete gifts of securities, donor-advised funds and wire transfers.
- U.S. taxpayers who do not itemize deductions on federal income taxes can still claim up to a $300 tax deduction if filing as an individual and up to $600 if filing as a couple.
- Gifts of IRA qualified charitable distributions made to Darden are not subject to capital gains taxes.

The Darden Society honors our generous leadership annual donors at six giving levels. When you make a leadership annual gift of $2,500 or more during Darden’s fiscal year, your gift will be recognized through membership in the Darden Society.
